This is the official website of Doctor Anastasia Marinopoulou. Anastasia Marinopoulou holds a PhD in philosophy and political theory (University of Sussex, Great Britain, 2006).

She is teaching philosophy and political theory at the Hellenic Open University and is conducting research on contemporary democracy, phenomena of political authoritarianism and totalitarianism.

Inline ImageShe is principal investigator at the  Jean Monnet Project (Erasmus+ Programme) Democracy at Risk: EU politics in the 21st century which is funded by the European Commission (2022-2025) and the author of the monograph Critical Theory and Epistemology: the Politics of Modern Thought and Science (Manchester University Press, 2017). She works as a translator and editor for various publications in Europe and the United States, offering English-to-Greek and Greek-to-English translation services.

Additionally, she provides English, Greek, and German lessons for anyone interested (with emphasis on academic purposes). Writing and editing services for works in English, Greek, and German are also available upon request.
